Due to the early effects of the Coronavirus, we had a customer whose regular supply chain had been disrupted. They were in dire need of a high volume wire assembly ASAP. They contacted us to meet that need.
The customer had non-negotiable shipping goals to meet and this assembly was a critical component in their end product. Failure was definitely not an option.
We received their drawings and BOM and went to work immediately. We had a quote for them in an hour. With pricing approved, we secured a PO and then our quick turn team sprung into action. Due to the volume of cables, we had to schedule partial shipments with firm dates – and had to meet those dates, no excuses!
The first shipment was delivered just six days later – much to their relief. It was followed by another larger shipment the next day. In all, we delivered 7,000 assemblies in just 14 working days. We were able to meet this customer’s requirements and they met their delivery goals. We are now considered a reliable alternate source supplier that this customer can count on for filling a critical need.
